Director of Accounts

Purpose: Maintains and expands relationships with clients of the organization by performing the following duties.

Skills: Excellent communication skills, personable, able to detect and cater to client needs, customer service orientation, organized, able to balance client and operational pressures and expectations, able to motivate and achieve desired goals without direct management responsibility, able to think both theoretically and statistically in order to analyze projects to Aspen’s maximum benefit.

Director Team

  1. Gain and utilize up-to-date information from multiple perspectives throughout Aspen including Call Center, Programming, Project Management, Quality Control and Data Processing. Use this knowledge to effectively adjust the Master Schedule and coordinate with Directors.
  2. Facilitate effective communication between project management and fellow directors to see that all established project costs, quality, client expectations and delivery commitments are met.
  3. As a director, make certain plans are in place for growth and succession on all levels.
  4. Obtain input from clients to forecast emerging industry trends. Utilize this knowledge and combine with internal needs to suggest additional client offerings that would facilitate revenue expansion. Act as client liaison with Director Team to determine which client offerings to implement based on overall company goals.
  5. Collaborate with Director of Client Operations to provide on-going and annual reviews and assessments of Project Manager performance.
  6. Provide sales estimations for current client projects in order to forecast sales figures for budgets.

Projects / Project Management

  1. Update, adjust, forecast, and schedule projects by maintaining the Master Schedule. Cross-train with Director of Client Operations to provide backup in your absence.
  2. Attend daily production meeting. Assess client priorities and internal resources to provide the most accurate information and instructions for scheduling.
  3. Understand project needs and their impact on the Master Schedule. Utilize this knowledge to effectively communicate with Project Managers and/or Directors to ensure necessary resources are in place.
  4. Coordinate with Director of Client Operations to assign projects and / or client accounts to Project Managers.
  5. Provide project advice, direction and support to Project Managers to ensure projects are being managed to the satisfaction of clients and for the maximum profitability of Aspen. Act as point of escalation for issues or activities that the customer encounters.

Client Relations

  1. Assess each project on a macro level and balance the needs of the client, Project Manager, Call Center, Programming and Data Department.
  2. Pass along client/project direction to Project Managers to ensure needs, goals and project costs are understood.
  3. Develop a system and identify specific points during a project where Project Managers are required to provide you with information (low production, respondent complaints, etc.).
  4. Develop and implement strategies to nurture relationships with existing clients that will maintain and increase revenue.
  5. Contact existing clients on a regular basis to maintain account relationship, advise of new product and service offerings, attain feedback on products and assure ongoing projects are scheduled and annual contracts are renewed.
  6. Support the Project Managers as Aspen’s internal client and implement procedures with Directors to enable this role or authority.
